Calling All Lawn and Garden Experts?

The subject is mushroom. No, I don’t want to know how to smoke them or eat them. I just want to get rid of them. I know that mushrooms comes from having a fungus in my soil. But it’s no fun, continuously raking them out and mowing over. They keep coming back. And since the summer heat is approaching, I really want to try and control this fungus before it really gets out of hand.

So, are there any tips of keeping the soil conditioned? And can I get rid of mushrooms without damaging my lawn?

The mushrooms rely on moisture. Be sure not to overwater Your Lawn. Adding lime to your lawn annually will also help control them. You can organically spot treat problem areas with a mixture of 1 part baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) to 2 parts water. Every time I take a shower my flatmate try’s to sneak a look at my ringpiece, should I say something?

Hi there, my flatmate Tom and I are currently studying archaeology and we recently went on a field trip to an actual dig in the city of York, I was really getting stuck in with my trowel, but Tom seemed to be bored, he was just stood there with his dibber, anyway I came across a precious stone which has since been confimed to be of Viking origin and was actually a piece from a warriors ring. Back at college my lecturer was ecstatic with my find and has said that whoever writes the best essay on it will be almost guaranteed an A! The thing is Tom is Better Than me at essays and if I let him have a good look at my ringpiece I fear that he’ll get the A grade, that is why I have hidden it in my room. To be honest I don’t think it’s fair, after all it was me who got my hands dirty raking at my ringpiece while Tom just stood there fiddling with his dibber! What do you think I should do?

why do you need to have motorised tools in the garden

it is not compulsory to have a football pitch outside your back door I never did as a child I have a pusher mower a sickle a pair of shears and secateurs. this is a green issue

The only motorised implement I use is a small electric Lawn Mower, which I’ve had for years. Weather permitting it’s only on for a few minutes week, just to make sure the lawn is respectable if not pristine.

Everything else in the garden is done by muscle power including weeding the paths as I refuse to use chemical Weed Killer. If the current lawn mower packs up before I do it will be replaced by a push me/pull you one.

Apart from the energy/fuel issue the manuals are much nicer to listen to.
